Yes, Nina's a full-contact individual. If she doesn't like it, she'll take steps, but if it comes up, go for it.

She has some resistance to being controlled due to her abilities, but mental contact itself - go for it.
❣️ Fighting/Injury:
With plotting, sure!
❣️ Death: Nah.
❣️ Kissing/Hugging: Nina's very physically affectionate with her friends, so if you're in that category - go for it. If not, beware!
❣️ Abilities: Nina is a Grisha, a heartrender and a tailor. She also has training as a spy and a soldier and is multilingual.
❣️ Canon Point:
Just at the end of the Shadow and Bone show (notably, before she has to make a Certain Choice, although for memes and whatnot we could go to the end of the show, just lmk), with some influence from the book.

As a Heartrender, Nina can read emotions (via heartbeat) and also influence emotions. She has other abilities that go with this, but these are the ones that are the most iffy to play out.

💘 FIRST THING: Yes, this is cool - I'll always include in narrative if Sam's being duplicitous, trying to hide something, being cagey, or when he's being genuine, so you can always pull from that. if you want, feel free to have Nina additionally figure out that whenever he's up in the air, flying around, he's incredibly, deeply, profoundly happy, and she can also absolutely infer over time that sometimes he looks a lot more happy, open and relaxed than he actually feels, that he's as a rule considerably more relaxed when around his cast mates, and that he's 100% running himself ragged and pushing himself hard.
💘 SECOND THING: Let's talk about: So Sam wouldn't be cool with it under normal circumstances (but he can't prevent it,either). However, I'd love for this to come up sometimes when he has a ptsd related nightmare or something. He'd probably be grateful to have the after effects soothed away, and he knows someone whose nightmares prove a struggle for his sleep, soooooo that might lead to interesting CR options down the line. So if that's something you'D be interested in threading out, lemme know :3
💘 THIRD THING: no opt-out, she's being adopted

First Thing -- absolutely, that's something we can work with. With physical contact, her senses of a person are heightened, so if he's being all cheerful and then like, touches her shoulder or something but is actually feeling D8, she'd immediately cue into that. We can definitely play around with the heartbeat while flying thing too, because the first time she senses a heartbeat above her head Nina is going to Freak Out, What.
Second Thing - Yeah, Nina actively tries to avoid doing this to people that she isn't just going to burn, so Sam's already off the list for casual emotion manipulation - as are most people in the camp. If it comes up otherwise, we will definitely talk about it! And ooooh, I agree - that'd be VERY interesting to play out using her abilities to help people. In the books, that's how she makes her living while spoiler spoiler spoiler, so yes, DEFINITELY interested in doing some stuff like that down the line!
Third thing - So's he. XD Good thing he has big brother practice, Nina will doubtless be *awful*.

Aaaahhhh loving it. He definitely needs more people who realize that he's really good at seeming open without actually opening up, and that he keeps a lot of his pain very internalized and carefully concealed. Sam's a god at code-switching xD

I like the idea of threading that out once they've gotten to know each other a bit better. Sam's unlikely to accept the help *or* want to extend it to Bucky until he's built up some trust with Nina, but I'd *definitely* love to build towards it :3
